Richard Gutierrez is undeniably the biggest male star of GMA-7. Richard Kristian Rama Gutierrez was born on January 21, 1984 in Beverly Hills, California with his twin brother, Raymond Gutierrez. He is the son of popular actor Eddie Gutierrez and sexy actress turned talent manager Annabelle Rama. His siblings who are also active in Philippine showbusiness are Ruffa Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez, Elvis Gutierrez, Tonton Gutierrez and Ramon Christopher.

Richard practically started his career as a childstar together with his twin brother named Raymond. They starred in a number of movies like Lahing Pikutin, One Two Bato Three Four Bapor and Bikining Itim.
Raymond and Richard eventually went back to US to pursue their studies. In 2001, Richard Gutierrez made a comeback via the youth-oriented show Click as Enzo. He was paired with Chynna Ortaleza. He later on appeared on a number of GMA-7 Primetime drama shows such as Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin and Habang Kapiling Ka.

He was launched as a primetime lead actor in 2004 when he bagged the role of Aguiluz in the fantaserye , Mulawin. His onscreen partnership with Angel Locsin was a certified success and the two later on appeared on a number of movies such as Sigaw, Let The Love Begin, Mulawin The Movie, I Will Always Love You, Mano Po 3 and The Promise. He also teamed up with Marian Rivera in My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend and with KC Concepcion in For The First Time and When I Met You.

Richard Gutierrez is loved by his fans especially the kids because of his shows such as Sugo (with Isabel Oli), Captain Barbell (with Camille Pratts and Rhian Ramos), Lupin (with Rhian Ramos, Ehra Madrigal and Katrina Halili), Kamandag (with Maxene Magalona and Jewel Mische), Codename: Asero (with Heart Evangelista) and in the Philippine adaptation of Zorro, where he is paired with Michelle Madrigal, Bianca King and Rhian Ramos.
