ABS-CBN’s Kambal sa Uma

ABS-CBN proudly presents a unique tale of two sisters separated at birth.

Kambal sa Uma was first seen on the big screen way back in 1979 where Rio Locsin played the role of the identical twins. However, the Philippine TV adaptation features Melissa Ricks as the one with the visible features of a rat and Shaina Magdayao as the prettier sister.

Also included in the cast are Matt Evans, Jason Abalos, Bangs Garcia, Carlo Guevarra, Jordan Herrera, Allan Paule, Lotlot de Leon and Rio Locsin. The show premieres next week replacing Parekoy.

Jason Abalos is a young Filipino actor who is considered as one of the favorites of Independent movie producers in the Philippines.

He was born on January 14, 1986 at Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija. He started out his showbiz career when he auditioned at the second season of Star Circle Quest. He luckily got accepted in the talent search, but he wasn’t able to make it at the top 5.

Despite the fact that he lost at the talent search, the bosses at ABS-CBN saw his potential as the next important leading man of the Kapamilya network. He was later on paired with the station’s most prized drama actresses such as Angelica Panganiban, Maja Salvador, Erich Gonzales and recently with Cristine Reyes in Eva Fonda.

He is well-loved by indie film addicts when he portrayed the lead role in the 2007 Cinemalaya movie “Endo”. He even won several awards because of the movie.

He is accepted in the mainstream and independent film industry. Among his movie credits include White Lady, First Day High, My Kuya’s Wedding, All About Love, I Wanna Be Happy, Endo, Adela and Motorcycle.

Eva Fonda ends this week

The controversial sexy-drama ABS-CBN Primetime Bida show Eva Fonda is about to end this week.

Eva Fonda is the Philippine Remake of a movie shown in the 70′s starring Ms. Alma Moreno. The new version stars Cristine Reyes, who is said to be the newest Pantasya ng Bayan.

 

The show stars Cristine Reyes, Jason Abalos, Baron Geisler, Janna Dominguez, Hazel Ann Mendoza, Joross Gamboa, Dick Israel, Mika dela Cruz, Al Tantay, Sylvia Sanchez, Mark Gil, Jean Saburit and Rustom Padilla.
